Millennial Pink – spotted trending in retail design

There is no question, “millennial pink” – however you define it – is trending right now. The colour first popped up on our retail design trend radar when Pantone named pink-ish Rose Quarts and blue-ish Serenity as co-colours of the year in 2016.

Since then, variants of pale, just-off-nude-Millennial-pink hues have dominated Instagram and all the other online and offline spaces frequented by the (now almost middle aged) Millennial generation. You can see the ubiquitous colour everywhere from pink diamond engagement rings, to salmony-grapefruity hued runway collections. Retail design is no exception. From what we’ve seen on our travels around the world, Millennial Pink is going to be sticking around as a key design trend for retail interiors for some time yet.

Here is a collage of some of our favourite Millennial Pink retail designs – take a look and get inspired by how to use Millennial Pink your own retail interiors:

Sketch tearoom in London is about as on-trend as an interior can be – the art-deco inspired Millennial Pink colour scheme of the retail design is enhanced with the quirky monochrome sketches that line the restaurant’s walls, which bring the interior design up to date. (Image from Sketch)
