NEW YEAR, NEW COLOUR – HOW TO USE PANTONE LIVING CORAL IN YOUR RETAIL INTERIOR DESIGN

We’re back in the office and inspired to design new interiors for all our corporate and retail clients.

Fortunately, we are way ahead of the trend when it comes to Pantone’s colour of the year for 2019: Living Coral – a brighter, fresher, take on the ubiquitous “Millennial Pink” we have seen everywhere over the last few years.

We used the colour as a part of our vibrant pallet for Michelle Ludek’s Rosebank, The Zone store, as you can see here:

We think Pantone Living Coral pairs wonderfully with golds, coppers, and all kinds of blues – from peacock-indigo right through to duck-egg teal, for an up to date, on trend “contemporary retro chic” aesthetic.

For some more interior inspiration on how to incorporate Pantone Living Coral into your retail or office interior to update your space with a splash of on-trend colour, here are some of our favourites:

Gucci paired coral with gold and sage green to evoke a sense of rich, grand style from the past – this opulent display reminds us of the palace of Versailles and the decadent days of Mari Antoinette:

For a completely different take on Coral, Roksanda paired coral with jet-black, lime green and cherry red – to evoke the over-the-top 1980’s. We love the way the sharp lines and hard edges of the retail displays together with the jet black really make the retro feature colours pop:

Hermes went even bolder, with a clashing red and coral colour combo – it breaks all the rules, but then again, isn’t that the point of design? We think its hot, hot hot.
